Pavane was written in 1887 by the French composer Gabriel Fauré. This atmospheric piece has been used in many different contexts, from the Swedish series ‘Johan Falk’ to the 1998 Fifa World Cup, and in songs by artists as diverse as Jethro Tull, Barbara Streisand, Bill Evans, Il Divo and S Club 7. Capturing the timeless beauty of the original, this version of the Pavane is a perfect concert or wedding choice.
