WinkMusic arrangements are written by me, Susie Winkworth! I’m a cellist based near London, UK. I love turning brilliant tracks into pieces that are playable AND full of the magic that made them great in the first place.
My learners arrangements have been used all over the world, including some of the UK’s top music schools: Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Junior Trinity Laban, Junior Royal Academy of Music, Hertfordshire Music Service, Christ’s Hospital School, Sherborne School and many more. I also create bespoke arrangements – like those written for Tonbridge School and Westminster Cathedral Choir School.
My performers arrangements have been road-tested by many amazing ensembles across the globe and are perfect for weddings, events and encores. They’ve been performed by Kulios Quartet in New Zealand, Prof. Marcin Murawski of Poznan Music Academy, Lizzie Ball, Classical Kicks and DJ Rob da Bank, Kerenza Peacock (Classic FM chart-topper and Adele’s concertmaster), Trafalgar Sinfonia, Belmont Ensemble of London, London Concertante, English Chamber Orchestra, Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra and Musici Ireland. They’ve appeared at candlelight concerts, celebrity weddings, movie launches, Hollywood parties and at many top venues including The Ritz, The Dorchester and Buckingham Palace. I also create personalised arrangements for stunning weddings and events, and love helping people turn their dream track into a reality.
As well as writing arrangements, I play with orchestras such as The National Symphony Orchestra and London Chamber Orchestra. I’ve performed with artists in folk, hip hop, pop and jazz including Mary J Blige, Rod Stewart, Bryan May, Goldfrapp, Professor Green, Hayley Westenra, Katherine Jenkins, Alfie Boe, Willard White, Kiri Te Kanawa, Gilad Atzmon, the Glenn Miller Orchestra and The Heritage Orchestra. I remote record from my home studio for TV, films and trailers. And I am currently loving being a deputy cellist on the West End musical Frozen!
