Mendelssohn – Wedding March

Mendelssohn Wedding March front page

Taken from Mendelssohn’s suite for Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the Wedding March is a classic choice for the recessional of the Bride and Groom. It became a popular wedding piece after it was used at the marriage of Queen Victoria’s daughter, Victoria The Princess Royal, to Price Frederick William of Prussia in 1858.
